The Yellow Dragon is a unique design element threading through the park providing locations and support for a diversity of activities, such as seating, tables, lighting, play structures, games, art installations, parking garage ventilation and so on. It provides maximum flexibility of functions while giving compositional structure to the park. The overall design will focus on amenities that draw visitors from the regional community, as well as the local neighborhood. The park will provide an active and passive place for children and adults, visiting the museum, attending planned museum and local events, and informal gatherings and picnics. Nature in harmony with the constructed will be an important theme in the design. A diversity of veg- etation will promote a wider variety of plants and animal life, for example vegetation for butterflies and humming birds. Bird and bat houses for existing trees draw wildlife both day and night.
